The annual Coconino County Fair will be held online this year from Sept. 4 to 7 in place of its usual in-person festival. Admission to events will be free to all with content available through Facebook, YouTube and Instagram Live.
The first day of the fair will kick off at 10 a.m. and end at 9 p.m. Throughout the day, individuals can attend virtual performances and entertainment events. Entry winners for Agriculture & Horticulture and Floriculture, Open Youth and Schools, and Open Livestock will be announced during the hours of 12 p.m. and 5 p.m.
On Sept. 5, virtual entertainment will continue throughout the day. Entertainment on Saturday will be hosted by magician Louie Foxx: The One-Man Side Show. Winners for the 4-H Club small and large livestock entries will also be announced until 3 p.m.
Events on Sept. 6 include more virtual entertainment from guests such as the Flagstaff Dancin’ Grannies and Flagstaff Foundry Radio. The third day of festivities will also include announcing entry winners of the Fine Arts and Home Economics, the 4-H horse and camelid categories.
The last day of the virtual festival will be on Labor Day, Sept. 7, and events will close at 4 p.m. Local music groups like FoxyKoshka and Rhythm Oasis will perform the last two scheduled performances of the fair. The Coconino County Fair will celebrate all entries in place of announcing any winners and will end with a weekend recap of the fair’s events.
Additionally, the Coconino County Fair announced on its website that the Demolition Derby, typically held at Fort Tuthill County Park, is canceled this year due to COVID-19.
A detailed list of scheduled events can be found on the Coconino County Fair website.
