The Flagstaff Police Department (FPD) posted on their Facebook that agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) had detained three individuals on the night of April 18.
According to the post, FPD was not aware of ICE's presence in Flagstaff until they had completed their operation.
"This was not a joint operation and the Flagstaff Police Department does not have any oversight of ICE Agents and/or their protocols," the post stated.
The post continued, stating that the individuals that were seized were not booked into the Coconino County Jail.
"We attempted to have a conversation with one of the Agents last night in hopes of obtaining some information we could pass one to our community members, but he refused to provide any helpful information to us," the post stated.
