A review of police activity in Flagstaff and NAU

April 1

At 9:23 p.m., officers reported finding drug paraphernalia at the Skyview Parking Garage. The item was brought in and destroyed.

At 2:27 p.m., a non-student came into the NAUPD precinct and turned himself in. The suspect had a warrant for his arrest from campus police and was booked into the Coconino County Detention Facility (CCDF).

At 5:49 p.m., NAUPD officers responded to an anonymous report from a resident at Allen Hall. A student was issued with a long— form complaint for possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.

April 2

At 1:25 a.m., a student was reported having difficulty breathing and was transported to Flagstaff Medical Center (FMC). Two students were then deferred for possession of drug paraphernalia.

At 12:04 p.m., a faculty member called and reported a non-student trying to get into a room in the Performing and Fine Arts building. The suspect was booked into CCDF for interfering with an educational institution.

April 3

At 12:22 p.m. in the Knoles Parking Garage, a student called to report a suspicious person who seemed to be intoxicated. Officers arrived on the scene and the suspect was warned for trespassing and left campus.

At 2:36 p.m., officers responded to a call at the Honors College where an RA reported the face plate of an exit sign missing. Officers took down the information and are looking for suspects.

April 4

At 1:31 a.m., officers received a call from Cowden Hall about of an odor of marijuana. Officers arrived on the scene and deferred three students for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

At 4:26 p.m., a non-student at Wilson Hall reported a sexual assault. Officers took a report.

At 5:26 p.m., NAUPD received an anonymous report of possible illegal activity at Reilly Hall. Necessary information was taken down and a further investigation will be conducted.

At 8:30 p.m., staff at McConnell Hall reported an odor of marijuana in the building. Officers responded but were unable to locate the odor.

April 5

At 4:18 a.m., residents at Reilly Hall reported hearing two students having an argument. The students were deferred for disturbing the peace.

At 1:48 p.m., staff at McConnell Hall reported an odor of marijuana present in the building. Officers responded to the call, but there was no answer at the door.

April 6

At 12:25 a.m., a student at Tinsley Hall reported another student who was intoxicated. The student was then transported to the FMC and the investigation remains pending.

At 1:48 a.m., a student was stopped by officers outside of Reilly Hall and was cited for driving under the influence and being underage. The suspect’s vehicle will be impounded for 30 days.

At 9:42 p.m., NAUPD received a call about a subject carrying alcoholic beverages near the Roseberry Apartments. Contact was made and the subject left the area.

At 8:05 p.m., an RA at Mountain View Hall reported an intoxicated person running away from them. An officer arrived on the scene but there was no contact made.

April 7

At 12:59 a.m., four students were deferred in parking lot 64A for minor in consumption of alcohol and minor in possession of alcohol.

At 1:29 a.m., an officer reported checking on a non-student at 603 South Fountaine Street. The subject was transported to FMC.

At 2:33 a.m., an officer initiated a traffic stop at South Beaver Street and West Ellery Avenue where a student was booked into Coconino County Detention Facility for extreme DUI.

At 7:06 p.m., a McConnell Hall RA called to report the odor of marijuana. An officer responded, the odor was present, and no contact was made.

At 7:32 p.m., an RA at Sechrist Hall reported the theft of a fire extinguisher. The fire extinguisher was then found, but turned out to have been used.
