A review of police activity in Flagstaff and NAU

April 8

At 12:15 p.m., an officer reported serving an active warrant in Holbrook. One non-student was booked into Coconino County Detention Facility (CCDF).

At 4:37 p.m., an officer reported assisting Flagstaff Police Department (FPD) with another officer involved in a shooting on Route 66.

At 9:34 p.m., officers reported assisting FPD with a fight off campus.

April 9

At 11:49 a.m., a McConnell Hall RA called to report an odor of marijuana. Two students were criminally deferred for use of marijuana.

At 4:30 p.m., an officer reported following up on a complaint. One non-student was booked into CCDF because of an active warrant. The non-student was booked on one count of resisting arrest and two counts of aggravated assault on an officer.

April 10

At 8:42 a.m., NAUPD received an alarm from the 1899 Bar and Grill. The area was searched, but the alarm was set off due to construction.

At 9:09 p.m., at Reilly Hall, an RA called to report the odor of marijuana. One student was referred for use of marijuana on campus and another student was criminally deferred for use of marijuana.

At 9:45 p.m., an officer issued a citation on North Humphrey Street and West Butler Avenue for failure to stop at a stop sign, as well as failure to yield during a pedestrian crossing.

April 11

At 1:49 a.m., at the Health and Learning Center, officers initiated a foot patrol. A non-student was arrested and booked into CCDF for second degree criminal trespassing, possession of narcotics, drug paraphernalia and use of marijuana. The case remains open.

At 1:58 p.m., FPD called to request assistance with an arrest, which was provided. One subject was arrested at Wilson Hall by FPD and booked into the Coconino County Sheriff’s office jail.

At 2:08 p.m., a Liberal Arts faculty member reported a student undergoing seizures. The student was transported to FMC.

At 10:15 p.m., at Wilson Hall, a staff member reported the smell of marijuana. Seven students were deferred for minor in consumption, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

April 12

At 12:27 a.m., a passerby reported two subjects yelling at each other by the Geology building. A non-student was arrested and booked into CCDF for an outstanding warrant.

At 9:40 a.m., a student called to report the theft of a bike. An officer responded and took a report.

At 11:39 a.m., University Union worker called to report finding a wallet. An officer responded and the wallet was taken by the officer for safekeeping.

At 3:48 p.m., staff at the Eastburn Education Center reported a passed out individual on the ground. After regaining consciousness, the subject advised that it was a pre-existing condition and was given an escort to South Village Apartments.

At 11:09 p.m., a resident of South Village Apartments reported subjects talking loudly in the wooded area nearby. The area was checked and two students were deferred for minor in consumption of alcohol and disturbing the peace.

April 13

At 1:09 a.m., an officer initiated a traffic stop at Hilltop Townhomes. FPD provided a backup unit. The student was cited and released for a DUI above 0.15, reckless driving and a stop sign violation.

At 11:09 a.m., at the High Country Conference Center garage a student called to report someone who hit their car and fled. An officer responded and took a report.

At 7:42 p.m., a subject called to report a possible drug sale around Allen Hall. One student was identified.

At 10:27 p.m., a student at Gillenwater Hall called to report an attempted suicide. The subject was located and transported to FMC.

April 14

At 11:44 a.m., at the Biological Sciences Annex, a third-party alarm company reported a five trip door alarm. NAUPD responded and the building was secured.

At 4:02 p.m., a student called to report an assault at University Union. An officer responded and took a report.
