Oct. 19

At 3:25 a.m., a student at Wilson Hall reported two suspicious subjects, but they were gone upon officer arrival. NAUPD found the restrooms’ gender signs were switched and then transferred them back.

At 8:13 a.m., NAUPD received an intrusion alarm at Old Main. An officer responded and determined it was caused by an employee.

At 9:17 a.m., a student at McKay Village reported someone had possibly trespassed in their room the previous night. NAUPD responded but no criminal activity was witnessed. 

At 5:35 p.m., an alarm company reported a burglary alarm at the Biological Sciences Annex. NAUPD responded and determined a worker accidentally triggered it.

At 7:37 p.m., an anonymous subject reported a student had a seizure at University Union. NAUPD, Flagstaff Fire Department (FFD) and Guardian Medical Transport (GMT) responded, and the student was transported to Flagstaff Medical Center.

Oct. 20

At 12:28 p.m., a student at Ardrey Auditorium reported a vehicle driving on the pedestrian path outside the building. NAUPD responded, but the vehicle left the area.

At 7:11 p.m., NAUPD reported assisting Flagstaff Police Department (FPD) with an injury accident on Lake Mary Road and University Heights Drive.

 

Oct. 21

At 10:27 a.m., a nonstudent at the Ponderosa building called to request assistance with an unruly child. NAUPD responded and assistance was provided.

At 1:27 p.m., a staff member at the du Bois Center reported finding a bag of marijuana. NAUPD responded and took a report.

 

Oct. 22

At 1:35 a.m., staff at Pine Ridge Village reported an unattended fire located in a fire pit. NAUPD responded and extinguished it.

At 11:36 p.m., NAUPD initiated a traffic stop. One nonstudent was cited and released for DUI to the slightest degree and minor in consumption of alcohol, and citations were also issued for no proof of insurance and driving left of center.

 

Oct. 23

At 12:11 a.m., a student at The Suites reported experiencing ear pain. NAUPD, FFD and GMT responded, but the student refused medical transport.

At 6:48 a.m., custodial staff at NAU Postal Services reported accidentally activating an alarm. An officer responded to reset it. 

At 8:17 a.m., a student at the Walkup Skydome reported an injured cat. Officers responded and transported the animal to High Country Humane.

At 11:35 a.m., NAUPD reported assisting FPD in finding a subject armed with a knife on South San Francisco Street. They were located.

At 11:39 a.m., staff at Cline Library reported a suspicious vehicle drawing electricity from the building. NAUPD responded and the issue was referred to the appropriate NAU department.

At 7:15 p.m., a nonstudent at Pine Ridge Village reported the theft of a Domino’s car topper. An officer responded, exhausted all leads and closed the case. 

 

Oct. 24

At 12:34 a.m., staff at Reilly Hall reported a loud party. NAUPD responded, but no criminal activity was witnessed.

At 10:31 a.m., staff at the Walkup Skydome practice fields reported two nonstudents causing a disturbance. NAUPD responded and both subjects were warned of trespassing, and one was cited and released for disorderly conduct.

At 12:37 p.m., a nonstudent at the Applied Research and Development building reported an unconscious subject. NAUPD, FFD and GMT responded, but they refused medical transport. The subject was booked into jail for minor in consumption of alcohol and third-degree trespassing.

At 8:48 p.m., staff at  Drury Inn & Suites reported a nonstudent who was not breathing. NAUPD, FFD and GMT responded, and the subject was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

Oct. 25

At 2:15 a.m., NAUPD initiated a traffic stop at the South San Francisco Street and East Butler Avenue intersection. One nonstudent was cited and released for DUI to the slightest degree, and another citation was issued for a stop sign violation.
