The Second Annual Men's Leadership Conference is taking place later this month with the goal of helping young men attending NAU challenge themselves, in pursuit to making them the best that they can be.

Pete Yanka, the director of the conference, said that there are three main goals they hope to achieve by the end of the conference.

"Every year, we hope to get these young men more involved here at NAU," Yanka said. "We've seen that there is little participation among these men in extra curricular activities and we want to change that."

According to Yanka, the leadership conference also wants these men to become more involved within the community.

"We feel that community involvement is one of the key characteristics in helping build good character." Yanka said. "We also want to help these young men face their challenges head on and explore what good choices they can make in their lives."

The conference is an inclusive event with a diverse group of participants every year.

The event will be held on Friday, April 26 in the du Bois center. More information about the event can be found here
