The NAU men's basketball program has been busy creating another impressive team after the departure of senior forward Brooks DeBisschop and senior guard/forward Chris Bowling. Through a press release on Monday, the program announced the signing of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) graduate transfer Jay Green.

As stated by the press release, Green, a 6-foot-5 guard, is qualified to start playing immediately and has two years of eligibility left as of the start of the 2020-21 season.

Green, who is originally from Sydney, Australia, attended Hillcrest Prep high school in Phoenix for his senior year when he moved to the United States. According to Green's UNLV biography, he averaged 24 points, eight rebounds and six assists per game during his senior year at Hillcrest Prep.

During his freshman season with UNLV, Green appeared in 15 games while averaging 4.1 minutes per game, according to his UNLV biography. Green did not play his sophomore year as it was his redshirt season. According to a tweet by Arizona Daily Sun reporter Lance Hartzler, Jay Green is the brother of Josh Green, who has entered the 2020 NBA draft.
