On Sept. 13, the City of Flagstaff announced that the city’s minimum wage will increase from $15.50 an hour to $16.80 starting Jan. 1, 2023. The change in wage comes as a result of the passing of Proposition 414 in November 2016.

Prop 414, or the Minimum Wage Act, established that starting in 2023 the Flagstaff minimum wage shall increase annually in accordance with the increase in the cost of living.
