NAU has canceled a second day of classes, Jan. 18, as a winter storm continues to impact Flagstaff. This is the second day to be canceled, following Saturday’s cancellation of Jan. 17 classes.

There will also be a delayed opening until noon for on-campus employees, except for those who are designated as essential. NAU Dining Services will be open during regular hours.

Snow accumulation in Flagstaff has varied over the past 24 hours, with some areas getting as much as 24 inches, according to The National Weather Service. An additional one to three inches of snow and wind gusts up to 30 mph are predicted today.

Classes are scheduled to start on Thursday, and a winter storm warning remains in effect until late tonight. NAU crews are continuing to clear snow to ensure the campus is safe for travel.
