Whenever people use the word existential it is usually in a context of crisis or dread. Contemplating one's purpose in a theoretically meaningless world is understandably intimidating, but existentialism is a mindset beyond the bleakness it is known for.
OPINION: The goal of logo design is to communicate as efficiently as possible in a visually pleasing way. Simple logos can achieve that, but it’s a tough line to walk when your consumers hate the redesign.
